Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and Leslie Science & Nature Center Membership Reciprocity
Reciprocity is a mutual exchange of privileges between two institutions. For example, one science center may allow free or reduced general admission to members of another science center.
Reciprocal benefits are determined by each institution; therefore, benefits may change at any time and without warning. We recommend that you call the institution you plan to attend to confirm their reciprocal status. For example, some museums may limit the number of adults and children or the family relationship of those given free admission. You will need to present your AAHOM and LSNC Membership Card and your photo ID to be eligible for reciprocal benefits.
Our members enjoy different reciprocity benefits depending on their level of membership. All of our membership levels include reciprocal benefits with ASTC (Association of Science and Technology Centers) and ANCA (Association of Nature Center Administrators). The Family Plus Premium level also includes reciprocal benefits with ACM (Association of Children’s Museums).
Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) - Included with all levels of membership
ASTC policy states that science centers and museums located within 90 miles of each other are excluded from the reciprocal program. Reciprocity with the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and ASTC institutions within 90 miles is ½ off general admission by mutual agreement. Please check with the museum you intend to visit for current admissions policies.
Association of Nature Center Administrators (ANCA) - Included with all levels of membership
ANCA's reciprocal program consists of ANCA member organizations which reciprocate discounted admission and other benefits to one another's members.
Visiting ANCA members will not receive any admission discounts at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum since we are not a participant or nature center.
Association of Children's Museums (ACM) - Family Plus Premium level only
Museums participating in the ACM reciprocal program offer ½ off general admission for up to six (6) individuals. Cardholder must be present. Please check with the museum you intend to visit for current admissions policies.
