• Summer Camp

    Explore week-long science and math activities in conjuntion with Ann Arbor Rec&Ed and other local organizations.  Elementary and middle school children can investigate a different theme each week through hands-on and engaging fun.

All of our summer camps are offered in partnership with other local organizations, and all registration will be handled through them.  All camps are located offsite.  Please view the individual camp listings below for registration and location info.

Summer Camp

Maker, Tinker, Tester Camp (Grades 2-5)

Discover the laws of physics while building Ann Arbor's coolest Rube Goldberg machine. Use your imagination to create complex contraptions by connecting simple machines and other structures. Roll, bounce, and slide your way through this dynamic camp!

The Art of Science Camp (Grades 1-4)

Explore and use chemistry, physics, math and more to create your own art gallery. Grow crystals, create textured paper, and explore the beauty of fractals to show off how attractive, vibrant, and artistic science can be.

Become an engineer! Build bridges, design domes, and explore electricity to create a bustling model city. Predict and test which materials and designs will create the strongest structures while using your imagination to develop the metropolis of your dreams.

Underwater ROV Camp (Grades 3-6)

Explore the world of underwater Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) by designing, building and testing a ROV to complete an underwater obstacle course. Engineer tools to allow your vehicle to tackle the unique challenges of an underwater environment. No bathing suit required! Campers provide own lunch, snacks and beverage.

Spy Camp (Grades 2-5)

Put on your disguise and learn the science it takes to be a spy! Explore spy technology, crack codes and deliver secret messages, engineer missions, and design your own spy tools. Don't forget your undercover identity. Other spies might try to blow your cover!
