Engineering 101! (Starting grades 1-3) June 24-28
Become an engineer! Build bridges, domes, and skyscrapers. Use your imagination to create complex contraptions from simple machines, using basic arts and crafts materials that can be found lying around your house. Learn about the wonders of this natural phenomenon. Ever shock yourself when you walk across a room? Does your hair sometimes stand straight up? Learn what electricity is, where it comes from, and how we use it. Build circuits, light bulbs, and other electric gadgets during this fun-filled week. Click here to register!
On Your Mark, Get Set, Go! (Starting grades 1-3) July 15-19
From helicopters to racecars to the human body, explore things that go! Investigate movement by creating rubber band cars, air-powered rockets, and other simple vehicles. Campers will also challenge their bodies to move higher, faster, and further. Click here to register!
Lights, Camera, Explosion! (Starting grades 6-8) July 29 - Aug 2
Do you like things that go Boom? Ever wonder how they work? Join us as we explore the science of explosions. Nothing is better than capturing explosions on film, right? You will perform these explosions for the camera as we create a Lip Dub (lipsync music video done in one take). You’ll go home with some explosive knowledge and a video to prove it. Dabble in science concepts to create your own art gallery. Each day a new science or math area will be explored and added to our palette.
